DAY 2| CASE EPICA 13
Second day at CASE EPICA was as fabulous as the day one, catering all the following activities:
A whole day of E-gaming was a special highlight of the event and kept everyone engaged, in the following hot favorite games of our young generation:
Tekken 3– Computing lab at CASE was all upbeat and zealous with the fighting matches of Tekken. Teams form CASE, AIR, PIEAS, UET, IMDC and Comsats, all participated with a positive enthusiasm. Arslan Ali swiped the game, beating a tough competition given by the runner up, Ahsan Munawwar. Both of them were from CASE University.
Call of duty 4– COD 4 was also a hotspot in computing lab. Teams from Bahria University, CASE, IMDC and AIR University, participated in the event. The game concluded with Team “Highness” (from Bahria University), winning the tournament and team PIEAS as runners up.
NFS-Most Wanted– Abdul Ahad from Bahria University claimed victory while Nauman Shahid from PIEAS was runner up.
FIFA 11– Shakaib Laiq was the event head for FIFA 11 and M. Javad Siddiquie was the Chief Co-ordinator. FIFA 11 was conducted in Project lab and Hassan Salman from CASE university was declared as winner. Fahad Masood (from CASE University) was runner up while Faizan (from Quaid-e-Azam University) and Farrukh (from Comsats Abottabad were semi-finalists).
CS 1.6– Counter Strike matches were played in both, Simulation lab and computing lab. The event will be concluded on day 3. Only qualifying rounds were played on Day 2. Teams from UET Taxila, GIKI, PIEAS, MAJU and Comsats Wah Cantt are participating in the event.
Both English and Urdu Declamations were held in mini auditorium of the University, between 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. President of CASE -Think forum, Majid Ahmad Khan was the head of this category. English participants were judged by Miss Ha’mim Qadri and Urdu participants were judged by Major Khurram Rehmani.
Calligraphy competition was held in Library. Teams from Comsats Wah, Fatimah Jinnah University for Women, Wah Medical college, NCA, UET Taxila, Preston and Hitech, participated in the event.
The corridors were lined with different education counseling organizations to provide helpful information regarding the admissions in European Universities. Prominent among them was “Emerging Visions” which provides help in filing VISA applications, accommodation and Language courses.
Sketching competition was also held in the library. Teams from International Islamic University (IIUI), PIEAS and NCA graced the event with their magnificent talent and creativity.
To give the day an unforgettable end, famous band, CAll and Mustafa zahid from Roxen band, performed live for the participants. And to top it all, participants were provided with a discount on concert tickets.
All in all, the day went well planned and concluded in a smashing color of success.
